Nadine F. Hermann, OD
Kalin Eye Associates is proud to welcome Dr. Nadine F. Hermann into our practice. She is pleased to provide primary and emergency care for patients of all ages, children through senior citizens. Dr. Hermann is also exceptionally proficient with contact lens fittings. We are excited by the vast amount of experience she brings with her as a New Jersey based Optometrist and Licensed Optician. We are very happy that she decided to make the move to Delaware to join us.
Dr. Hermann received her Applied Associates Degree in Ophthalmic Science from Raritan Valley Community College in 1998. She then passed the NJ State Boards to earn her Opticians License in addition to the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners certifications. Over the next 7 years she worked as a NJ Licensed Optician at private and corporate practices in the state until her desire to provide more comprehensive care to her patients led to her returning to school.
In 2008 she received her first Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Kean University. There her skills earned her an induction into the TriBeta National Biological Honor Society. Dr. Hermann earned her second Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Sciences from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2009. This was followed by her receiving her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University School of Health in 2012. An Ocular Disease Residency with Omni Eye Services followed in 2013 (which provided her with the skills to treat and manage several medical conditions of the eye, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts and dry eye syndrome), and then she hit the ground running.
Speaking of running, in her spare time Dr. Hermann loves to run and she is working her way up to her first marathon. Occasionally, she is joined on her runs by Nicholas, her energetic 7-year-old son. In her free time, she loves to travel the world with Nicholas and her husband Keith. In addition to traveling, she likes to garden, play tennis, swim and even ski occasionally. Her French heritage provides her with the ability to speak French, and to no one’s surprise, Paris is one of her favorite places to visit.
